Pineapple and Soursop "Champús"

INGREDIENTS

1 cup seedless soursop (guanábana)

  1. 1 cup diced pineapple

  2. 200 grams sugar

  3. 6 cups water

  4. 2 cinnamon sticks

  5. 2-3 cloves

  6. Pineapple peel

  7. 200 grams corn flour

  8. Lemon juice

  9. Cinnamon powder for garnish

Step by Step

  1. Dice the pineapple and remove the seeds from the soursop. With the other ingredients ready, place a pot on the stove to boil. Add the pineapple peels, cloves, and cinnamon sticks, and let it boil for 20 minutes.

  2. After that time, remove those ingredients. In the same water, add the sugar, pineapple, and soursop, and let it boil for 15 minutes.

  3. Lower the heat to low to dissolve the corn flour. Add it in small amounts, stirring constantly. This process takes between 8 and 10 minutes.

  4. Turn off the heat and add the lemon juice.

Serve and sprinkle with cinnamon powder.
